Mr. Barbaro has been a partner in the firm since 1993 and is certified by the State Bar of California as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate law. He is the firm’s primary litigator, focusing in the areas of trusts, wills, conservatorships, and probate related matters. His practice also includes administration in the areas of probate, trust, and conservatorship estates, the preparation of wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents, and real estate and business transactions and litigation.

Mr. Barbaro represents trustees, beneficiaries, administrators, executors, conservators, private professional fiduciaries, and creditors in probate and trust proceedings.

Ranked as a Super Lawyer since 2006, Mr. Barbaro is also an active participant in the Los Angeles and Pasadena communities. He is a member of several bar associations and has served on various boards of civic and non-profit organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of California at Irvine (1977) and a Juris Doctorate from Western State University (1980).  He was admitted to the California Bar in 1980 and to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and U.S. District Court, Central District of California in 1981.

He has presented programs on a number of topics in his specialty to a variety of organizations such as the Center for Judicial Education & Research of the Judicial Council of California as part of their course on “Advanced Issues in Probate and Mental Health.” He has also presented programs at the Annual Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) Educational Conference, the PFAC Southern Region Education Day Conference and various PFAC Chapters and for the Financial Planners Association of San Gabriel Valley.
