Elijah Hakobian is a Pasadena native committed to delivering exceptional legal services to his community. He attended Maranatha High School in Pasadena, graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Azusa Pacific University, and finished in the top 20% of his class at Southwestern Law School earning a Juris Doctorate.
In addition to his academic endeavors, Mr. Hakobian participated in various co- and extracurricular activities to diversify his education and be better suited to serve clients from all walks of life.
As an associate attorney with Barbaro, Chinen, Pitzer & Duke, LLP, Mr. Hakobian represents clients in a variety of family law matters such as child custody and support, spousal support, domestic violence, property characterization and division, and more, building upon his prior experience at another Pasadena-based law firm. He is also engaged in all aspects of trust and estate matters, and conservatorships, including planning, administration, mediation and litigation.
Before his time in family law, Mr. Hakobian was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Civil Division of the California Superior Court, County of Los Angeles, writing tentative orders for various matters such as medical malpractice, personal injury, employment, products liability, and many other civil issues.
Mr. Hakobian’s experience has allowed him to hone his advocacy skills and develop a strong, client-centered approach to his practice. He brings his broad legal expertise, compassion, and commitment to justice to the firm and continues its long-standing tradition of serving the Pasadena community with excellence.
He enjoys golfing, off-roading, and trying new restaurants with his wife.
