Raimund Freihube was born in Germany and raised in California. He attended Occidental College and UCLA as an undergraduate and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, with Honors, in Biochemistry. Prior to law school, he undertook graduate studies in the UCLA School of Public Health while doing clinical research on neural tube defects under Dr. Barbara Crandall at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. He attended law school at Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. At Hastings College of the Law he participated in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition and co-authored the team’s brief which won Second Place recognition.

Raimund Freihube is Of-Counsel with Barbaro, Chinen, Pitzer & Duke. He has been in practice for more than 35 years, focusing more recently on family law and trust and probate litigation. Prior to his current practice, he represented parties in business disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, products liability matters, medical malpractice claims, and construction defect and municipal defense matters.

The current practice of Mr. Freihube includes child custody, child support, defense in District Attorney support enforcement matters, partner support, asset division, tracing, domestic and elder restraining order matters, guardianships, conservatorships, trust and will contests, appeals, cohabitation agreements, and premarital planning. He routinely attends trials and settlement conferences concerning all aspects of family law matters and trust and will litigation matters. He is fluent with, and frequently tackles, the challenges of cross-over problems between family law, probate/trust disputes and unlawful detainers. Raimund has successfully tried cases to judge and jury alike and settled numerous matters during his career. He prevailed and recently obtained a defense verdict before a jury in Parnello v Papiano.

Mr. Freihube is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the Pasadena Bar Association, the American Public Health Association, and the American Anthroposophical Society. He was commended by the Legal Services Program for Pasadena and San Gabriel-Pomona Valley for his contribution of pro bono legal services in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
